Tricia Lowrey Lippert Originally from a small town on the Connecticut shoreline, Tricia has been attracted to nature since she was a child. Surrounded by marshes, beaches and forests she had the ideal inspiration to become an artist. From an early age, Tricia was constantly drawing. By the time she was sixteen she was taking extra art classes at a local arts center as well as attending an arts oriented high school. Tricia received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Oil Painting from Marlboro College in Marlboro, Vermont in 1981. She also studied at the Banff Centre of Fine Arts in Banff, Alberta, Canada during the summer of 1979. After leaving Marlboro, she took classes at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut from 1981 to 1983. She continued her studies while living in New Jersey at the New Jersey Center for the Arts in Summit. In 1987, Tricia and her husband, Lonnie, moved to the Pocono Mountains. She continued her art education at the Baum School of Art in Allentown in 1990 by taking classes in children's book illustration. In 1996, she traveled to the Provence region of France to participate in a two week painting workshop.
